If you haven't checked out the tasty popups that have been POPPING UP around town, then you need to get with it! There is a new popup in town and it's actually a popup venue, not just one dinner or a series of dinners over a weekend.  You can go to a different pop up every Thursday upstairs at Checker Bar.  The owners of Grand Trunk Pub downtown purchased Checker Bar last year and converted the upstairs into a dining room called POP. https://www.facebook.com/pages/POP/899321710098421

The first popup to come to POP was by NOODL, which is simple: four pastas and four sauces.  NOODL has also done popups at Motor City Wine, my personal favorite wine bar.

Checker Bar's own Christian Noel is going to serve up some of his mom's Haitian recipes along with his own creations.

All items are a la carte. There is no cover.

1. COD FISH PATES : Salted Cod Fish Pastry, with a Small Salad

3. FRIED SNAPPER with GRITS : Topped with Avacado & Tomato Salad
