What is a Nain Rouge?
The Nain Rouge is also known as the red devil known as a harbinger of doom that has tormented the city of Detroit since 1701. Soon after seeing the Nain in 1701, the Nain is said to have appeared before all major defining tragedies in Detroit's rich history, including the Battle of Bloody Run in 1763, Great fire of 1805, 1967 riots, etc.
What is the Marche du Nain Rouge?
Every year on the Sunday after the spring equinox, which happens to be tomorrow, the city gathers in an effort to banish the Nain Rogue. The Nain will make an appearance at the parade and taunt the crowd with promises of a future of demise. The Marche was revived in 2010 and since then, Detroit only gets stronger with each year that rolls on. Come get together tomorrow afternoon to help us banish the Nain for yet another amazing year allowing for more positive change, growth, and strength.
