Candice Simons, Start Up Superstar.

Founder of J’adore Detroit and owner of Brooklyn Outdoor, Candice Simons, is starring in Season 4 Episode 2 of Start Up. The season premiers Sunday, October 2nd at 1:00 p.m. on PBS. Start Up is a national public television series produced by Detroiter, Jenny Feterovich, alongside Michigan native, Gary Bredow.

Fun fact- it is the only Detroit based and produced show on American TV!

Each episode features a well-known entrepreneur, as they showcase two startups and sit down for a candid conversation with each owner. This season's notable entrepreneurs are; Shark Tank judge Daymond John, founder of Square Jim McKelvey and Michigan restaurateur Curt Catello, owner of Vinsetta Garage, Union Woodshop, Clarkston Union and more.

Other Michigan companies featured this season include LawnGuru, an on-demand app for lawn care based in Ann Arbor, Social Sushi, a pop-up sushi restaurant based in Detroit, SPBang, a company that manufacturers reusable lunch products based in White Lake and Bon Bon Bon, an artisan chocolate maker based in Hamtramck.
