THE SPACE

The guys (Dayne, Paul & Devin) called the warn out 'FOR SALE' sign on a whim and ended up getting the building that was originally constructed in the 1920's. Their mission 'COMMUNITY. CAMRADERIE. CRAFT.' is the perfect way to describe the design of EMBC. They've adopted several German style communal tables and the garage doors open up to Eastern Market. You're legit sitting in the brewery, giving you the opportunity to chat with Hazen Schumacher, Head Brewer while drinking in a Pumpkin Ale. Everything is well thought out.

The three stories within the warehouse include the brewery, which is the only level open to the public right now, tasting room (second floor) and rooftop access thats scheduled for 2020.

THE BEER

Providing 11 selections of beer headed up by former Atwater brewer Hazen Schumacher, the brewery is getting back to the roots of Detroit by partnering with local sources to create a one of a kind experience with each sip of beer. They've adopted an on demand canning system for the freshest beer to take home.

THE PEOPLE

Best friends and co-owners Paul Hoskin, Dayne Bartscht and Devin Drowley are college friends who are determined to bring an authentic take on the brewery market in Detroit. These are the type of guys you meet once and feel like you've known them for years. So happy to call them friends and neighbors.

Stop by Eastern Market Brewing Co and in the heart of Eastern Market just off Riopelle.
