TO SAY I'M OBSESSED WITH ORLEANS AND WINDER WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

I SWEAR THIS THIRD FLOOR FASHION OASIS IN EASTERN MARKET IS STRAIGHT OUT OF NYC. WHY WE LOVE THIS PLACE (OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT I WORK RIGHT ABOVE IT)? THE FOUNDER ERIN WETZEL FOCUSES ON THE SLOW FASHION MOVEMENT. SELLING DESIGNERS THAT TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR HAND CRAFTED, CRAFT. WITH FALL BEING THE MOST IMPORTANT FASHION SEASON OF THE YEAR, I MET UP WITH ERIN TO CHAT ABOUT HER FAVORITE DESIGNERS IN STORE FOR FALL.

UMA WANG

Fresh off Uma Wang's first official show in Paris fashion week. This chick has been proclaimed by Italian Vogue and countless industry insiders. Uma's signature style combines fabric with knits creating modern lines into a sophisticated, timeless design. She has a flagship boutique in Shanghai and her label is stocked in most global cities.

The Cosma coat and Kona jacket.

There’s something refreshing about Uma Wang. While staying true to avant garde design, she also manages to evoke a soft, feminine aesthetic. Her use of textiles and flowing shapes, as well as her use of subdued colors and stripes, has drawn a loyal following here in the United States, and with good reason.

SUNDAY SOMEWHERE

Matahari by Sunday Somewhere

Matahari by Sunday Somewhere

We love a good come up story. Hell, we all have them. Sunday Somewhere a sunglass brand out of Australia has gained a massive following over the last couple of years. Probably because they make some of the best fitting sunglasses you'll wear. Prices range from $200-$400 and are pretty affordable compared to the Chanel's & Gucci's of the world. From classic to MAJOR statement pieces, Sunday Somewhere has a design for everyone. Who doesn't like some carefully designed, won't break the bank, uber stylish sunglasses? - NO ONE.

GUIDI BOOTS

Nothing says fall like a new pair of boots. Let me mention these are some of the nicest, most badass leather boots known to mankind --> Guidi. Guidi, started in 1896 and is from Pescia, Tuscany where the art of leather tanning can traced back to the middle ages. The boot has evolved throughout the years but the passion for leather and respect for the trade has stayed true. Dudes are big fan of this designer as they're continually featured in GQ and known to be worn by the likes of Zayn Malik of One Direction. They now make unisex and woman's boots and THEY. ARE. AWESOME.

If you're into uniqueness and investment pieces that make you look GOOD stop by Orleans and Winder the next time you're in Eastern Market!

xoxo,

Candice Simons, j'adore Detroit
