I CAUGHT FRUITION AT THE PARLIAMENT ROOM INSIDE OF OTUS SUPPLY THIS PAST THURSDAY AND IT LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY ROCKED.
Fruition, a bluegrass band out of Portland, Oregon has made a name for themselves in the music scene the last couple of years. Their recently released album, "Labor of Love" got them major national recognition not to mention the fact that they played Red Rocks Amphitheater and Bonnaroo this past year. They've toured with acts like Greensky Bluegrass out of Kalamazoo and ALO. Thursday night they played the hits like Labor of Love, Mountain Annie and surprised us with a couple Tom Petty covers which did not disappoint.
Now THE SPACE. It's epic. It's artsy. It's comfortable. One of those spaces that connects with your soul on the first impression. The vibe inside Parliament Room was unmatched with Fruition in there. Bluegrass just works in the space. It's a classy joint that serves beer and whiskey in actual glass glasses. It makes paying $14 for a Bullet on the rocks kind of worth it. Next time I'll pregame a little bit harder, but the drinks were on point and the beer selection was great.
I didn't want the show to end. I could've listened to Fruition all night. 10/10 would go back to catch a show at Parliament Room and will definitely be seeking out Fruition the next time they're in Michigan. A truly wonderful way to spend a Thursday night.
