Flower Day takes place annually on the Sunday after Mother’s Day. This tradition has taken place in the market since 1967, and there are tons of vendors who offer a wide variety of flowers at a great price. It’s the perfect way to embrace the warm weather and get your yard ready for the summer months.

 PLACES TO VISIT DURING FLOWER DAY

 ·      Detroit Hustles Harder Party- Detroit Hustles Harder will be opening early for a party starting at 7 a.m. and going until 5 p.m. The DJ starts at 11 a.m. for an age-inclusive dance party. The store will be having an annual sale along with adult and kid-friendly refreshments.

·      Places to Eat- Supino’s Pizza and Vivio’s are some of the classic places to eat while in the market. We’re also loving Gather just over on Gratiot. 

·      Stores to Visit in the Market- Make sure you stop in Henry the Hatter to shop the most stylish hats in the city. Also, Detroit Mercantile Co. is a great place to buy some great Michigan-made gear.

·      Post Shopping Refreshments- Eastern Market Brewing and Detroit City Distillery on Riopelle are great places to stop for a cocktail or craft beer to relax after shopping. Germack is also a shop to check out for a great cup of coffee or turmeric latte.
