Service in the City: Tree Planting Day
Join j'adore Detroit and Brooklyn Outdoor Saturday, May 7th as we continue to transform blight to beauty on Detroit’s lower east side side with the planting of 5,000 tulip poplar trees.
Over 1,400 volunteers came out last year to work with us to make agricultural history by contributing to one of the largest Urban Reforestation projects in the country with the planting of 15,000 trees. We are looking forward to being a part of this years efforts and help work together toward a more green and vibrant Detroit.
In addition to tree planting, there will be live music, equipment demonstrations, face painting, educational tours, complimentary BBQ + ICE CREAM.
Thank you for volunteering to help us plant Hantz Woodlands. Please wear boots and clothes you expect to get dirty and bring gloves and shovels.
Volunteers should arrive at 10am.
Thank you for helping to make the tree planting a success! If you have any questions, please contact Mike Score at firstname.lastname@example.org
