Top 5 Drinks You Should Be Drinking Right Now
IT'S ABOUT TIME FOR HIBERNATION MODE BUT BEFORE YOU GO INTO YOUR HOUSE AND NEVER COME OUT MAKE SURE YOU'RE IMBIBING THE 5 DRINKS BELOW...
LOW END THEORY, BATCH BREWING CO
Expect a unique flavor profile for Low End Theory (8.5 ABV, 58 IBU), a black IPA, brewed at Batch Brewing Company. Taste a balance of burnt sugar and dark chocolate malt with the citrus and resinous Michigan Cascade and Chinook hops. This brew is perfect for cozy fall day with good friends and conversation. We promise, this beer will have you talking.
A GOURD-GEOUS AUTUMN, WRIGHT & CO
Think fall inspired Mai Tai with this sexy autumn cocktail that’s made with grilled pumpkin infused Cruzan, pumpkin spiced orgeat, Curacao and lime. The pumpkin garnish is homemade by Wright’s Pastry Chef, Corinna. It’s as delicious as it is pretty. The flamed cinnamon on top makes for a cocktail that touches all the senses. Definitely a drink that’s going to warm up even the chilliest of fall days.
MY ANTONIA, SUGAR HOUSE
Sugar House had me at pumpkin pie syrup with this “Great American Novel” inspired seasonal cocktail. Their slogan, “Craft Cocktails Made Well” definitely hits the nail on the head with the My Antonia. The drink is made with Becherovka, Berenjager, Pimm’s No. 1, pumpkin pie syrup, cream, allspice and Angostura bitters. I’ve never read My Antonia but will be drinking it well into the colder months. Not into pumpkin spice? Check out the rest of their seasonally inspired menu or one of their 101 classic cocktails they have year round.
AUTUMN LEAVES, REPUBLIC TAVERN
I’m a big fan of Bourbon anytime of year but especially heading into colder months. This cocktail is Bourbon and spice and everything nice with notes of lemon and cider. The fresh shaved nutmeg on top gives it a wonderful fall aroma. It’s everything you could want in a fall cocktail. Republic describes it as, “Toasted. Bold. Charming” and we couldn't agree more.
VOODOO VATOR, ATWATER BREWING
Clocking in at 8% ABV and 25 IBU, Voodoo Vator is a hefty beer that will warm you up during a cool fall day. This dopplebock has a sweet caramel side balanced with the nutty flavors of Munich malt. Voodoo Vator is rich in color and taste. You’ll be happily surprised at its smooth finish that will leave you wanting more.
