Balancing on a Budget: a Week of Yoga in Detroit for $10

Last Friday I went to Bikram’s $5 Happy Hour Yin and i Haven't stopped talking about it since. The class was AMAZING! It was my first time in the Bikram studio and yes, I would recommend to a friend - and to readers.

As a college gal, maintaining a monthly unlimited membership at one of Detroit’s fabulous yoga studios is out of my budget.

Yoga can be an expensive practice. Thankfully, Detroit yogis care about their community and make yoga accessible to everyone.

Follow the schedule below and pay $10 for a week of yoga in Detroit.

Yoganic Flow is a unique yoga studio. their mission is to address the mental and physical needs of the urban community through meditation. In lieu of a studio, classes are taught at recreation centers around Detroit and outside in the summer. To participate in Yoganic Flow’s donation based classes, you have to purchase a Detroit Department of Recreation annual membership ($10 for residents, $20 for non residents).

thank you yoganic flow, iyengar detroit, bikram, and citizen's yoga for making yoga available to everyone.

after class, show your appreciation by donating when possible and sharing your experience on social media!
