Opening Day Survival Guide

This Friday, April 6th is Tigers' Opening Day.

Whether you’re a baseball fan or in it for the party, Opening Day is another unofficial holiday in Detroit.

Is it just me or has every weekend since the Hamtramck Music Festival been a Detroit-sanctioned holiday?

Regardless, get your game face on and get ready for one more day of drinking from 9-5.

Detroit Urban Development Update:

The Greektown adjacent intersection at Gratiot and Randolph has been rezoned to make way for a 13,000-square-foot pedestrian plaza expected to open, on Opening Day! The plaza will be a new hotspot for food trucks and have outdoor seating available.

Make sure you check out the pedestrian plaza on opening day!

I recommend starting your day at The Skip for a civil transition into day drinking. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. their Opening Day menu will feature frozen cucumber margaritas, Irish coffee, classic cocktails (oh right and the food..) bratwurst, lamb hot dogs, Israeli couscous and potato salad.

Squad Up, at The Skip and follow the crowd from there.

Below is a list of #Jadoreapprove opening day events that will be a guaranteed good time:

Vertical Detroit

PJ’s Lager House

Rub Pub Detroit

Harry’s Detroit

Detroit Home Opener Festival

Town Pump Tavern

Wear your favorite Tigers gear and get down with Detroit on Opening Day!

See you there,
