Why Beacon Park Will be Your Go-To Summer Spot
Detroit’s newest park, Beacon Park, is helping you spend your summer right with events running nearly every day of the week.
Opened on July 20th, 2017, the park is located on the western side of the city. It had 1.2 acres of land and is also home to restaurant and bar, Lumen, which has a rooftop patio with quick eats.
Whether you’re willing to spend some cash or are trying to save some money, Beacon Park is has a plethora of happenings going on this summer that will fit anyone’s needs. From a farmers markets with fresh produce to free concerts with top-notch bands, Detroit’s newest gem is going to be the obvious go-to for the upcoming warm months.
While the park always has something new going on, here are my most anticipated events of the summer that they’re hosting (I mean, how can you pass these up?):
- Night Markets featuring market vendors, food trucks, and live music (every Saturday from 7p.m.-12a.m. from June 9th-August 25th)
- Free Outdoor Cycling with Pulse Fitness (every Saturday at 9a.m. and 10a.m. from June 9th-August 25th)
