Detroit Cocktail Camp

Calling all drink aficionados, aspiring cocktail crafters, and those who just like to have a good time!

This winter, Detroit Cocktail Camp will have six Saturdays (plus an added bonus Saturday class, due to its success) for you to cozy up all over the Detroit area and learn the basics of mixing drinks! You are cordially invited to learn from some of the best bartenders in the area! Each event is different, so there’s something for everyone- as long as you’re 21!

Here’s a brief breakdown of each:

February 9- Brunch Drinks at the Detroit Foundation Hotel: Fancy mimosas, maybe? A Bloody Mary, perhaps? On February 9th from 1 to 3 PM, The Apparatus Room bartenders will show you how to make four different brunch beverages so you can impress your friends at home.

February 16- Whiskey 101 at Detroit City Distillery: Whiskey lovers, this one’s for you. Take a tour of Detroit City Distillery and sip on some different whiskeys. You’ll also learn how to make a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned.

February 23- Tiki Drinks at Lost River Tiki Bar: Head to Lost River to not only learn how to make some Tiki classics, but to also learn a little about Tiki culture and its introduction to the U.S.

March 2 & 9- The History of Detroit at Cliff Bell’s: Learn about Detroit’s role in the Prohibition era as you also learn how to make some favorite Detroit spirits! There are two days of this event for you to choose from!

March 9- Shrubs, Infusions, & More at Rusted Crow: Join the Cocktail Camp at Rusted Crow in Dearborn Heights as their bartenders teach you how to step up your at-home-bartender game! You’ll learn the ins and outs of flavor combinations, making mixers, and more.

March 16- Martinis & More at Johnny’s Royal Oak- Whether you like it shaken or stirred, you can learn how to make martinis and more at Johnny’s speakeasy in Royal Oak.

BONUS! March 23- Modern Spring Drinks at Valentine Distilling Company- Award-Winning Valenting Distilling will educate their guests about the processes of their vodkas, gins, and spirits, as well as whip up some springy cocktails.
